Why We’re starting a kids podcast
Some of the most meaningful conversations about faith in our family don’t happen at church—or even at the table.
They happen in the car.
Questions asked without a microphone or a lesson plan.
That’s where this podcast started.
One day, in the middle of one of those conversations, my daughter said, “Mom, we should start a podcast.” Not as a passing idea—but as something she really believed in. She wanted a place to talk about faith the way we do in real life. Honest. Curious. Connected to what’s actually happening around us.
So we started listening.
We sat down in front of a microphone and began having the same kinds of conversations we were already having—about God, the Bible, big feelings, mistakes, growth, and what it looks like to follow Jesus in everyday life.
And something unexpected happened.
My kids grew bolder.
Their voices grew clearer.
Their desire to share their faith grew stronger.
And I learned just as much as they did.
The Everyday Truths Kids Podcast exists to serve families who want faith to feel livable, not intimidating. It’s not about having all the answers. It’s about creating space for good questions and meaningful conversations.
What This Podcast Is (and Isn’t)
This podcast is:
Short (5–10 minute) episodes designed for real life
A place where kids can hear faith talked about in a way that makes sense
A resource for families who want to grow together, not perform
This podcast is not:
A checklist for “good Christian kids”
A pressure-filled lesson you have to prepare for
A replacement for parents—it’s a support
What We’re Covering in Season One
Our first season walks through the Fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control.
Each week, we’ll release three short episodes, giving families multiple entry points into the conversation. Alongside the podcast, we’ve created simple, thoughtful resources—family discussion guides and coloring sheets—to help you take what you hear and live it out together.
Why We’re So Excited
Because faith doesn’t grow best in pressure—it grows in presence.
Because kids don’t need perfect explanations—they need safe spaces.
And because sometimes the smallest voices remind us what trust actually sounds like.
